Summer 2011 UPDATE : Part 1

Hello everyone, how have you all been?

It’s been a little while I last posted a blog so I thought it was now time to do so and let you know what I’ve been up to since the release of my album “Clips & Space“, a couple of months ago:
I tried to promote the release as much as I could, and I was lucky enough to get good reviews in the likes of the GoodVoodoo Music blog, and especially DJ Mag, who gave “Clips & Space” a very nice 7.5/10 rating and called it “A full-throttle, funk and Garage-inflected house mix with bags of soul and enough drive to send any fun-loving dancefloor loopy”. Nice :)
IDJ Magazine was on board too, and actually featured me in their “Rising Star” section, which was really nice of them!
I also did a few interviews for the likes of Chicago’s great 5Magazine, but also a few different blogs such as Sound Canvas, TheyMakeMusic and the House Heads Anonymous blog. These are all still online so feel free to go check em out, if you feel like it :)

Almost forgot… Last month something INCREDIBLE happened, the Vernon & Dacosta mix of my track “In Love” topped Amazon.fr’s TOP100 download chart, ahead of David Guetta, Kissy Sell-Out and Martin Solveig during its release week. This is TRUE everyone, and not the result of me going insane!!

To celebrate the release of the album, the LMD crew and myself headed to room 3 of the world’s finest club, London’s FABRIC and hosted the first ever LMD residency as Burnski, Pete Dafeet and myself played all night and entertained our crowd til the early morning. It was a great night, full of familiar faces, which I believe was recorded and is in the middle of being hosted on the LMD website, so feel free to go pay them a visit and have a listen to the sets.

Ok, that’s it for today, but stay tuned for part II, coming soon :)
