Part.2 of my CLASSICS series is out now, and this is a special one. For a start it features my remix of Vernon & Dacosta’s As Darkness Falls featuring the catchiest vocals courtesy of miss Apple Rochez. When it originally came out back in 2008, it’s fair to say this little remix kick-started my DJ career. I travelled the world thanks to this release and to this day I thank Amenti Music‘s Olivier Desmet for believing in me. And so I went to hunt the original Reason session (easily been 20 years since I last used that…), “fixed” the mistakes (mainly bum notes in the bass line and other out-of-key elements) and got it re-mastered. This track will probably my legacy so now it sounds as nice as it can and I hope you like it.
Next is another Amenti exclusive from 2012, called Summerized. I made it especially for an exclusive mixed compilation that only 7 of you listened to but for some reason it’s always been one of my personal favourites. It’s not trying to be anything else but its own thing and I’m very proud of that. Also it was never pressed on vinyl so that makes it extra special and I hope you can dig it!
Finally, Play On is the most recent of the 3 and was made when I was really influenced by the likes of Kolombo and Loulou Players, and I guess this was me trying to be me but also try to fit in their sets. It worked at the time, I joined their Loulou Records roster and we did a bunch of work together. Good times :) Also, never released on wax before and so now’s the time!
