Hello friends, hope you’ve all been well, here’s my latest news, let’s go:
First of all, thank you to everyone to came to support Pezzner, Pete Dafeet, Rhythm Plate and myself at Fabric on April 14th. It was a wicked night and everyone played exquisite music. My personal highlights of the night include hearing a ton of brand new Pete Dafeet tracks (from his upcoming “Family Affair” venture on LMD), Pezzner’s new upcoming remix for Bugsy and Dirty Channels on Ovum and Rhythm Plate‘s idea of bringing their full studio (including a 27’ iMac and a real KORG synth) on stage as supposed to a laptop and make any use of today’s technology!
It was a fun and packed night, and overall very LMD! I got the chance to test out all my upcoming remixes and tracks and am happy to say they sounded not too bad… The thing is, mistakes are really easy to spot when hearing your own music on a soundsystem such as Fabric’s… Anyway, you can check the photos of the night by clicking HERE.
BATERIA FANTASTICA live show. Mr Starr will be DJing and doing live edits while I’ll be operating the laptop with Ableton and also showcase my drumming skills by playing a Roland SPDSX live sampler-drum unit.
We have just started the rehearsals and the first show will take place at the legendary Sankeys in Manchester on May 25th. You can find all the gig dates by visiting my GIGS section.
Please note that there won’t be any of my own tracks played during the show, as this IS be a Riva Starr gig, featuring live action by me! Come on, come and say hello :)
And, finally, there’s some new sounds on the Soundcloud page, including a remix coming out on Audio Tonic Records on May 14th. The support on this one has been amazing so far, so please have a listen if you haven’t heard it yet!
